A Moment In The Son
The full moon peered through the tree canopy.
A stormy cloud swarm hovered gallantly.
All hedged in by a sky pale and rosy.
Morning sky was a pale white rhapsody.
Made me feel the night was a fantasy.
I feel a longing call from pageantry.
As if to deny would be blasphemy.
Ides deride my life into anarchy.
If only I was a master of falconry.
My heart could glide away effortlessly.
Instead I must rebuild from tragedy.
I don’t know how to be an axletree.
My only hope is the failsafe strategy.
Keep my step with the nameless valiantly.
Keep good faith of undeserved amnesty.
Believe in the hand of God Almighty.
This week was exceptionally hard. It felt as though everything went wrong than what I planned. I had a nagging feeling from haunting sneers the house still has had no professional to take it in hand. I went outside to survey the house and choose the chores I should do. The full moon was low on the horizon and caught my attention. A sight I will not soon forget. The moment was surreal looking at the moon alone, I did not feel alone. I had an extraordinary sense of solace throughout in every fork and wrong turn in my in my path. I was thwarted from being able to accomplish anything I needed to do to get anything done. Regardless of the constant unproductive status, I was determined not to give into frustration. I kept an even keel and with a slow steady pace, I did what little was in my path I could do.
The by chance reading Nehemiah 2:14-3:32 starts off with a bang in the first seven verses. Instantly we are transported into Nehemiah’s secret journey in the night around Jerusalem. He briefly describes with distress of the state of city’s wall in ruins. In the morning he goes into the city and proclaims God said to him to rise up and build. Immediately several men retorted with scornful laughter for the futility of the endeavor. Nehemiah was prepared and claimed God of heaven will strengthen their hands for this good work and they will prosper. The rest of the reading is Nehemiah listing forever those who worked on the ruined sections around the entire city. The stale description begins at the Fish Gate, then onto the Old Gate, the Broad Wall to the Furnace Tower, the Valley Gate, the Dung Gate, the Fountain Gate and the Pool of Siloah, the brook of Kidron to the Horse Gate, and the Sheep Gate on the other side of the fish market.
