We Love You Still
Everyday our heart catches sight
Upon a shadow where memories fall
Sparks a shared moment we recall
Our sorrow sprouts wings and takes flight
Our soul stills as our hearts grow dim
Hope leaps forward for a new spiritual life
Our heart's loss seems a constant strife
Alas, mindful hearts holdfast for them
Everyday we replay our choices made
Our guilt and thoughts mingle us weary
Missing their future beside us not to be
We plea to benefit souls in dire need
Amen, Our Lord Jesus, Amen
We thank You for all graced to pass
Through Divine Mercy into Heaven
May all be blessed with You in Paradise
Amen, God Almighty, Amen
I have no wisdom to offer. I struggle with my own sorrows. I turned to a random page the words at first glance gripped my mind. "Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see." Bewildered, I opened another book to a random page and my eye fell upon the words, "...Faith confesses the greatness of God's gifts..." It is true, I thought, only God can truly comfort us in our sorrows. Vaguely remembering the Sermon on the Mount, when Jesus proclaimed all the Beatitudes. I had to look this one up, "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." However, this was not helping my ignorance to relate to the first.
Still, I open another book seeking further justification and read, "... Righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law..." It took a while to discern those few words when Paul The Apostle focused on his justification through faith in Christ. The Righteousness of God declares the sinner innocent and Devine Mercy makes it so. Our faith, trust in the Greatness of God in our creation and redemption. We carry on with our lives filled with trials through Grace of Christ and Gifts of The Holy Ghost, The Holy Spirit of God.
I returned my glaze to the first random page, lo and behold only inches below the first seen: "The Lord that created thee...that formed thee ... Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by they name; thou art mine."
